Joe – Pharmacist
Joe is one of our staff pharmacists here in Greenville. Joe is a 1983 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and has practiced pharmacy for 32 years. He is very experienced in all aspects of pharmacy having worked in various retail outlets and is licensed in both Pennsylvania and Ohio. Joe is certified in immunizations receiving his training five years ago at Duquesne University as well as compounding receiving his training at Medisca, Inc at the University of Florida in Gainesville; thus, enabling Joe to serve the whole community. A lifelong resident of the area, he enjoys working at the Medicine Shoppe since it allows him to be more involved in direct patient care and develop personal relationships with the patients he serves in the community.
Joann – Pharmacy Technician
Joann has been a pharmacy technician for the Medicine Shoppe for 15 years and has been in pharmacy since 1977. Joann is responsible for completing the Dispill trays for the Medicine Shoppe as well as dispensing medication. In her spare time, Joann enjoys gardening at her home, traveling, and going to concerts. She is looking forward to many more years at the Medicine Shoppe.
Carey – Pharmacy Technician
Hi, my name is Carey and I have been a resident of Greenville for the past 26 years. I have been a part of the Medicine Shoppe family for 16 years and a certified pharmacy technician for 15 years. I am responsible for diabetic supplies and fitting patients for diabetic shoes. I am affectionately known as the “Shoe Lady.” I also has a deep passion for working with the elderly. The most important part of my job is to put smiles on our customers faces and make them feel like family. This is what truly makes my job worth while.
Cerena – Pharmacy Technician
Hi, my name is Cerena. I am the youngest member of the Medicine Shoppe family. Although I grew up in Conneaut Lake, PA, my family is from Greenville and I have been around this area my entire life. I graduated in 2012 and have been a pharmacy technician at the Medicine Shoppe for 3 years. I enjoy all aspects of pharmacy especially getting to know all of our valued customers. I look forward to learning more about other aspects of pharmacy in the near future. I try to make each and every customer that comes into the store feel like a part of our family. In my spare time, I am the head coach of a varsity volleyball team, and I also help coach both a softball and basketball team. Along with coaching, I try to make time to play as many sports as I can. Jennifer – Pharmacy Technician
My name is Jennifer and I have worked at the Medicine Shoppe for 8 years as a pharmacy technician. Aside from my daily routine of filling prescriptions, I work with customers on synchronizing their medications in our Time My Meds Program.
It is of great importance to me knowing that each and every customer receives professional and courteous service during their visit to the pharmacy. Knowing each and every customer by name assures them that I am putting them first. It is my goal for customers to leave with a smile, looking forward to their next visit! In my spare time, all my devotion shifts to my amazing family. I have been married to my husband Ryan for 21 years. We have been residents of the Greenville Community for all of our life. We have five beautiful children: Jordan, Rebecca, Drew, Cody, and Lucas. We love the outdoors and enjoys camping, fishing, hunting, baseball, and basketball. We love spending time at our camp in the mountains. I am also the girls varsity basketball coach at Greenville High School. I attended St. Michael’s School in Greenville, Kennedy Christian High School, and Thiel College.
Bob – Delivery Driver
Bob is the “Face outside the Medicine Shoppe”, as he is the delivery driver for the Hermitage and Greenville, PA stores. He provides courteous and professional services to all customers and enjoys his interactions with them. Bob has been married to his wife Barbara for over 50 years, and they have two children and four grandchildren. Bob is a graduate of Penn State University with a degree in Business Administration and a major in Science. He was a certified EMT while serving with the local Fire Department.
My name is Joe Yarzab. My wife Rhonda and I own The Medicine Shoppe. After serving in the United States Marine Corp, I returned home and met Rhonda while working for Turner Dairy Farms. After we were married, we purchased the store from Paul Walsh in January 1991. We started with two full-time employees including Rhonda as our pharmacist and myself. We have tried to stay on the cutting edge of providing new and innovative services to our patients. We now have three locations including Greenville, Hermitage, and Canandaigua, NY, and we employ over 28 people. I am involved in the community through the Chamber of Commerce, and I am a board member for Community Counseling Center of Mercer County. I have served as an officer in numerous fraternal and service organizations in our area. I am the father of three beautiful children, Jolynn, Marie, and Joseph, and the grandfather of two amazing grandchildren, Jade and Brynn. I enjoy spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, and boating. I hope to one day become a licensed pilot and own my own plane.
Rhonda Yarzab R.Ph
I am Rhonda Yarzab RPh/owner of The Medicine Shoppe. I graduated from Duquesne University in 1983, and I have owned the store since January 1991. My passion for this profession has allowed me to develop news ideas to help our patients in the community. I have served on the owner advisory counsel for the Medicine Shoppe for two terms, and
three terms on the advertising and marketing board. In 1996, I joined PCCA in Houston, Texas to help promote our compounding business. I am certified to administer immunizations and fit diabetic shoes. Other affiliations that I am involved with include PPA, AphA, and NCPA. I am also a full fellow in the American College of Apothecaries. I have three wonderful children, Jolynn, Marie, and Joseph, and two adorable grandchildren, Jade and Brynn. I am married to Joseph Yarzab who is my partner in the store and in all of our endeavors. I enjoy coming to work everyday and interacting with our patients to promote good health. I enjoy our family time together and spending time at our cabin in the Allegheny mountains hunting, fishing, and boating.
